Laurence is a photographer with over ten years of experience, working across weddings, portraits, land scapes and personal projects. While a big part of his career has been documenting people and their stories, the works he loves to make work is grounded in a genuine obsession for traditional photographic craft.

Laurence shoots medium and large format film, and is especially drawn to alternative processes like platinum-palladium printing and wet plate collodion.

Nostalgia is not the reason Laurence works with these medium; rather he loves how these processes slow everything down. Working this way, you have to select your frame carefully. You have to commit to your vision. From the coating of the plates to hand-printing in the darkroom, the process becomes part of the image itself.
